I´m currently working on a setup with Mixxx and VST effects (2x sl1200 + Vestax serator vinyl // Maudio Delta 1010lt).
The method i´m trying is a bit dirty but if it works i will be happy
The idea is that mixxx audio output is routed with a virtual audio cable http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Audio_Cable into a vst hosting program

The vsts are controlled with a midi controller, the caveats are that the midi controller is not available for mixxxx any
Is there any body who tried something like this allready??? please let us know.

I know the program Ardour supports VST and is open source. Is it possible that the mixxx development team uses the same strategie like Ardour??

The program VST host is also opensource. so i think there must be some kind of way to use VST effects.
Is Steinberg contacted and asked for some sort of permision to use the VST SDK???
